A week with us - A week of blowdries !!!!!
We have been excited to host our ECA Hairstyling Certificate course. We designed this course for students that want to learn how to style hair for fashion, weddings or private clients and our students excelled ! Was lovely having a buzzing academy again !!!!!
Student Feedback
We covered day 1 all different blow-drying techniques, providing a great start to the week!
The students were introduced to smooth blow-dry and a curly blow and finished the day with traditional French pleat and French plaits !!!!!
Then day 2 full of enthusiasm we moved on to hair prep and styling for Fashion shoots we learned about the structure of the hair and how to use hot tools to prep and style the hair .
We finished the day with classic half up half down styling and mastered backcombing using your signature technique.
Day 3 was bridal and hair up day. We spent the day learning the most popular updos and bridal styling requested. We learned how to work to time deadlines and how to use rollers within the styling.
Then day 4 we started with an intro to styling hair extensions and how to style wigs for private clients. We then moved onto the big volume blow-dry and how to raise those roots and give your clients the volume they want. We also perfected those glam ponytails and used hair padding!
Then the final time was spent putting those skills into practice. We put the week’s demos into practice and the students produced looks that were creative and really impressed the team :)
We have had reports back of the students using the techniques on set and completing their first bridal hair for a wedding and adding hair for their private clients .. All in the last 2 weeks.. wow, thats excatly what we LOVE to hear !
