I DON'T HAVE ANY MAKE-UP EXPERIENCE, WHICH COURSE IS RIGHT FOR ME?
Most of our course start will the basics of make-up such all of our complete Level 3 VTCT courses start with makeup application, which is designed to teach the basics and develop your knowledge. For a beginner we would recommend the course Level 3 Fashion and Photographic make up course which cover all the make up basics if you do not want to commit to a complete course but would like a taster or enrol on the Into to Make Up Artistry course.
I WORK FULL TIME SO WHAT COURSE WOULD SUIT ME?
We run part time course either on the weekend as well as another course on a weekday so many of our students fit the part time course around other work/family commitments.
HOW DO I JOIN ELLA CREATIVE ACADEMY?
To enquire about joining a course at Ella Creative Academy, the first thing to do is give us a call on 07413 120843 to arrange an interview and to discuss your course requirements. If you're not able to attend an interview in person, we can arrange a telephone interview instead. After a successful interview, you'll need to complete the Enrolment Form we send you and return the original signed form to us with your non-refundable deposit. This secures your place on your chosen hair or makeu-up course. All fees for the make-up courses must be paid in full 4 weeks prior to the course start date. (unless alternative payment plan has been agreed). All students must be at least 16 years old before enrolling on a course. All deposits and fees are non-refundable. Please also check the section below on qualifications required.
WHAT ARE THE COURSE FEES?
The course fees are listed below:
• VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Fashion and Photographic Make Up (includes starter brush kit)
• 10 weeks (1 day per week) - £1195 (£54.50 certificate fee)
• VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Make Up Artistry (including starter brush kit)
• 22 weeks (1 day per week) - £3395
• Intro to Make Up Artistry 1 days - £250
• ECA Hairstyling Certificate (including starter hair kit) 5 days - £995
• Level 3 Award in Media Make Up 5 weeks (1 day per week)- £995
WHEN DO I PAY THE FEES?
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the course fees must be paid in order to guarantee your place on any course. All other fees must be paid four weeks prior to the beginning of the hair or makeup course.If you enrol for a make-up course less than 4 weeks before the course start date, you must pay all fees at the time of enrolment.We also offer payment instalment plans on request.
Deposits and fees are usually paid by cheque or by bank transfer or direct debit. Flexible payment plans may be available and need to be agreed in advance. Your Enrolment Form includes Ella Creative Academy bank details.If you pay by bank transfer, please use the student's full name as a reference. Cheques or bank transfers from international students must be in pounds sterling.
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEES?
On the VTCT make-up course we include a starter brush kit. The certificate fee covers the accreditation of the VTCT qualification.
WHERE IS THE ACADEMY?
Ella Creative Academy is in the building 54 Saint James Street in the heart of Liverpool vibrant Baltic triangle area and a 5-10 min walk from Liverpool 1.

WHO TEACHES THE CLASSES?
Ella Creative Academy tutors are experienced make-up artists active in their own specialist field in industry.
HOW MANY STUDENTS ARE IN EACH CLASS?
Our class sizes are kept small, intimate and friendly, which allows you to receive individual tuition and ensures we maintain the high standard of make-up training at Ella Creative Academy. You'll be in classes with a maximum of 14 students.
WHAT ARE THE CLASS TIMES?
Classes for full day make up courses run from 10 am to 4.30 pm,
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS ARE NEEDED FOR THE FULL-TIME COURSES?
No previous make-up experience is required for the majority of our courses.

WILL I RECEIVE A QUALIFICATION ON THE LAST DAY OF THE COURSE?
The VTCT courses have to be accredited and the certificates are usually sent out in the weeks after all the portfolio evidence is submitted. The other courses will receive a certificate on the last day.
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE FOR THE COURSE?
We take over 16 year old students on our weekend courses (this is extra to their mandatory education/training hours on a weekday)
WHAT STANDARD OF ENGLISH IS NEEDED?
All students must be able to speak and understand English.
WHAT CERTIFICATES WILL I RECEIVE?
All students of short and full-time Complete Make-up Artist Courses, who complete their course will receive a certificate from Ella Creative Academy. This will list the make-up artist tutors, the name and dates of your course. The VTCT industry accredited certificate course will qualify the make-up artist by the awarding body VTCT and we enables the make-up artist to gain insurance.
WILL YOU HELP ME GET WORK AFTER THE COURSE?
We pride ourselves on our commitment to the future careers of our students and offer one-to-one support in preparing them for the make-up or hair industries. Our tutors are working make-up artists and we have great industry links for work experience. We also have links with other film and fashion shows and production companies
